Last week’s edition of TV Week had a few pages dedicated to The Doctor Blake Mysteries, which I scanned. I’ve thrown them onto my Tumblr account whilst the site will be undertaking some maintenance.
UPDATE: This maintenance work has been pushed back to December. It’ll include the relaunch of the gallery finally.
Just a heads up, this site will be undertaking some maintenance later in the month.
When the maintenance takes place, it means the site will be down during this time.
I will also be updating the links page soon. Since there are a lot of Nadine fans out there, whether it be on Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, if you would like to be linked to this site, feel free to comment with your site link.
Nadine has joined the cast of the feature film ‘Celeste’, it started filming this week in Queensland.
Celeste, the latest feature from director Ben Hackworth (Corroboree), will start shooting next week in far north Queensland.

The Doctor Blake Mysteries (Series Five) premieres in Australia tonight on ABC1 at 8:30pm.
The countdown is on until they film The Doctor Blake Mysteries Telemovie (last instalment at this stage of the television show). It will start filming in less than two weeks. So Nadine (and Belinda) will be doing double duty between this and their MTC Stage Production ‘Di and Viv and Rose’.

The Spectator has a feature on Nadine’s new play Di and Viv and Rose. As you will note the play will also star Belinda McClory who is in The Doctor Blake Mysteries with Nadine.
Three women who shared a flat as university freshers in 1983 and have maintained their friendship through the years are the subject matter of a play opening shortly at the Melbourne Theatre Company (Sumner, Southbank from 12 August). The play – Di and Viv and Rose – has been a success in London, first at Hampstead in 2015, then in the West End. The author is Amelia Bullmore, an actress and writer, whose performances will be known to television viewers of the police series Scott and Bailey; she played the detective superintendent with a drinking problem. The play examines the nature of personal alliances and their importance over time through changing circumstances. In the Telegraph, Charles Spencer described it as having a ‘mixture of warmth, humour and sadness that is very special indeed’. The play’s title is both obvious and difficult; the difficulty being in remembering which names and in what order, but it does tell us what to expect.
In Melbourne, Di and Viv and Rose will be directed by Marion Potts who has brought together an excellent trio of actors: Nadine Garner (the almost love interest housekeeper in the Doctor Blake Mysteries on ABC Television), Belinda McClory and Mandy McElhinney. This play is clearly not chick-lit put on stage; the male reviewers in London were certainly drawn in by the writing. Charles Spencer again: ‘It cuts deeply and asks hard questions’. The Guardian said it is ‘never sentimental’. With any luck, it will be seen in other cities.
