City Homicide star Nadine Garner is polishing her high heels ahead of presenting Friday’s Scarlet Stiletto awards.
In its 17th year, Australia’s only crime writing competition for women boasts 145 short story entries vying for the sexy scarlet stiletto. Sisters in Crime spokesperson Phyllis King says this year’s entries had some common themes, including poisonings and crimes at universities.
“Also notable was the unusual methods of despatch – from a spear gun to boiling a body down to tallow.” The awards have acted as a springboard into publishing for authors including Tara Moss and Cate Kennedy. For more information, or to book, call 80602737 or visit sistersincrime.org.au
