AACTA Awards Luncheon + Flashback to 1988

Apologies I was offline without the Internet, so I couldn’t post this earlier.

Nadine attended the AACTA Awards Luncheon on January 15. She was nominated in the category, Best Screenplay in a Short Film for Afterglow. Sadly, Nadine lost to another great short-film The Palace written by Anthony Maras.

Eva Rinaldi has some photos from the event on her Flickr page and I will be adding some shortly to the gallery.

While you’re at it, you can have a blast from the past moment by checking out some photos from 1988 on the AACTA website of Nadine winning for her fantastic performance in Mullaway (AKA Mull)

Afterglow

A few people have been asking about whether or not Afterglow is available for viewing away from the film festival circuit.

At the moment, I have no answer to the question. Hopefully the answer will be yes though, because like a lot of you, I would love to see the film.

The moving film follows the story of a young woman in post World War II Australia as she meets her forbidden love to tell him she has not terminated her pregnancy.

None tutu comfy but it’s fitting (Herald Sun – 20 June 2011)

There was an article in today’s Herald Sun with Nadine regarding the auctioning off tutus/aprons for Australian Childhood Foundation. For those who do not know, Nadine has been an ambassador for ACF for a number of years now.
